Aconcagua Trekking to Plaza Francia is one of the most spectacular trips we offer. This is a hike to the best overlook on one of the largest walls in the world, the “Aconcagua South Face”.You will witness avalanches, huge waterfalls, and glaciers, spend the night in a geodesic dome at the base camp and share the base camp experience with mountaineers from all over the world.

Day 01 Transfer to the Horcones Valley 9678 ft | 2950 m
Trek to Confluencia base camp 11122 ft | 3390 m (3 hs)

Day 02 Trek to Plaza Francia of Mount Aconcagua at 13779 ft | 4200 m (4.30)
Lunch, rest (45 minutes) and return to Confluencia base camp ( 2.30 hs )
1 hour break at confluencia BC
Return  to Horcones Valley (2/2.30 hs) – Transfer to Mendoza
Arrival time to Mendoza 9:00 pm

Total hours of walking +/- 7:00 hs

Note For this option you must to have experience and be in a very good shape

Program extended of three days (Recommended)

Day 2 Overnight at Confluencia BC 11122 ft | 3390

Day 3  Hike to Horcones (2/2.30 hs) and return to Mendoza

Departure 8:00 am

Average trekking time 5-8 h

Arrival time to Mendoza 5:00/6:00 pm  (depending  on the road conditions)

Requirement Physically fit

Upper body

• 2 Top underwear, polypropylene or thermal capeline
• 1 Long sleeve shirts
• 1 Fleece jacket
• 1 Windproof Gore-Tex jacket, it must have a hood
• 1 Down jacket, it´s better with a Hood

Hands

• 1 Pairs of liner gloves
• 1 Pair of fleece or wool gloves

Head

• 1 Hat or cap for the sun protection
• 1 Fleece hat

Lower body

• Bottom underwear
• 1 Trekking pant

Footwear

• 1 Pair of good trekking boots | we recommend with Gore-Tex

Feet

• 1 Pairs of lightweight socks
• 2 Pairs of heavy-weight socks

Eyes

• 1 Pair of glacier glasses 100% UV protection
